The myth of Frankenstein received little attention from the world of international silent cinema. However, with the transition to sound, it was quickly embraced by the silver screen. This work will examine three specific issues: the voice and the silence of the Monster; the recognition of the genre of the fantastic in Italian silent cinema; the shared nature of both the Monster and the cinematographic apparatus.Downloads
